St. Augustine of Canterbury, Bexhill on Sea. Mission Action Plan (2021] Revised - from 2010. Our mission action plan for 2021 is based upon Outreach, Worship and Teaching. Outreach/Pastoral 1. For the year 2021:
1.To use the facilities of St. Augustine’s for pastoral outreach. I.e. regular monthly lunch clubs, coffee clubs as well as other well used facilities.
2. For the year 2021: To enhance the pastoral visiting of the clergy and reader. To ensure that the sick are visited and that all members of the electoral roll receive at least one visit during the year.
3. For the year 2021:To see that all new members of St. Augustine’s are visited
4. For the year 2021: To increase the number of social functions
5. For the year 2021: To support local charities (Advent & Lent) Teaching:
1. For the year 2021: To use Lent and Advent as a opportunity for teaching (away days)
2. For the year 2021: To increase our “Heaven & Earth” study groups.
3. For the year 2021: To hold another confirmation (towards the end of the year)
4. For all time: To see that all homilies and sermons are teaching based.
Worship:
1. For 2021: A drive to increase attendance at daily Mass
2. For 2021: A drive to increase attendance at the daily offices
3. For 2021: To see that the parish Mass caters for all ages
4. For 2021: To see that there is correct teaching about the liturgy.
Finance:
1. For 2021: To make every effort to bring awareness to the congregation the importance of giving.
2. For 2021: To make every effort to make our pledge.
3. For 2021: To make every effort to teach on giving
